House of War

House of War

House of War is a unique novel – an 'English Patient' for the War On Terror. It is about a hunt for the lost Royal Diaries of Alexander the Great, hidden in the ruins of an ancient city founded by the conqueror himself in war-torn northern Afghanistan. The city is real and Al Qaeda wants to stop them finding the Royal Diaries.

It draws its inspiration from Michael Ondaatje, from Graham Greene, John Le Carre and Dan Brown. It is a thriller set in contemporary Central Asia, complete with warlords, Al Qaeda renegades and NATO troops.

The novel works on many layers. It has a clear, driving narrative that is cinematic in style in its fast-paced cutting from scene to scene. At the same time, it is a blend of psychological thriller, spy story, romance, and a quest novel.
